Nick is a keen ornithologist and his wildlife adventures around the world provide the inspiration for his paintings.
Critically endangered, and with fewer than 50 left in the wild, the Orange Bellied Parrot is one of Australia's most well-known endangered species. There are many theories of why this bird is so rare but it seems likely that this bird is less well adapted to cope with changes in it's natural habitat. They have been bred successfully in captivity but they are at risk of becoming extinct in the wild.
This painting has an ivory and taupe frame with a silver slip under glass. Image 29cm x 29cm. Frame 45cm x 45cm.
Also available as a limited edition print (from £45) - please go to Nick's Wildlife Prints page for more information.
