Many of Tim's works infer latent power. It is non-specific but can be any type of power - military, regal, religious, sexual, political. Many of these qualities can be seen more obviously in Tim's earlier more figurative sculptures.
Carrara marble is a type of white or blue-grey marble of high quality, popular for use in sculpture. It is quarried in the city of Carrara located in the province of Massa and Carrara in the Lunigiana, the northernmost tip of modern-day Tuscany, Italy. This marble comes from one of the main quarries used by Michelangelo.
