Nick is a keen ornithologist and his wildlife adventures around the world provide the inspiration for his paintings.

The Regent Honeyeater is a critically endangered bird endemic to New South Wales. The Regent Honeyeater is found in eucalyptus forests and woodlands, particularly in blossoming trees and mistletoe. It is also seen in orchards and urban gardens.

It is threatened by loss of habitat after decades of tree clearing for agriculture but there has been a move towards creating biodiversity on farmland to provide new habitats for wildlife.

This painting has an ivory and taupe frame with a silver slip under glass. Image size 29cm x 29cm. Frame size 45cm x 45cm.

Also available as a limited edition print (From £45). Please go to 'Nick Giles - Wildlife Prints' page for more information.
