Lesley Lockhart - Originals

Born in Kilmarnock, Lesley was a teacher in Primary Education in the town, moving onto Ayr and then locally to Shiskine Primary in 1989. She has lived on the island since. A change of career led to managing Arran Art Gallery until 2013.

Over the years, Lesley has been taught by Joan Lawson at Robinwood Art School; and has attended the excellent workshops run locally by Arran Visual Arts group and also workshops at Higham Hall and West Dean. She paints mainly in oils and acrylics. She favours rich colour and texture. She is stimulated by decoration: painted, lettered, illuminated or stitched, and by gardens.

Our opening hours:

We are open 7 days a week, 10am to 5pm, with a quick 30min lunch break around 1pm.
