A graduate in fine art from the Glasgow School of Art, Katie Litton has enjoyed a wide ranging career encompassing interior design, set design and prop making form television. In the last few years a move from her family from London to the stunning surroundings and more relaxed life style of the Isle of Arran has rekindled her passion for painting, inspired by the simple beauty of the flora and fauna of the island.

The pace of life on Arran makes you internalise, I look out to the sea every morning and feel comfort walking in the forests. Absorbing the changing colours of the seasons, transporting me somewhere else, away from urban life. I am adjusting to my new surroundings, seeing the beauty in the detail. Focusing on the mystery of the places you would normally pass by.
