Her work is based on the landscape, animals ,birds and people that surround her. The importance of this interaction in the rural environment is the core influence on her work.
She is interested in the use of images to convey a warm narrative of the quirky and whimsical aspects of rural life. Ailsa's work merges imagination with reality through the mediums of pen and ink, digital formats and acrylic on canvas.
