Arran appears to be bucking the trend of the recession with some new developments: the long defunct and once iconic Douglas Hotel has been totally redeveloped and is now open; Auchrannie are building new lodges and a playbarn and are set to embark on a multi million pound 'clachan' holiday development with  accompanying sports and leisure facilities; 

Exciting times for Arran ... and for us!!
