Open Edition Photographic Print
Andy Gray is a photographic artist living and working in Scotland. Using digital capture and computer software, he has developed a technique now trademarked as phoTEX. The process involves working with multiple images layered together, and includes enhancing perspective and introducing texture to produce a uniquely three-dimensional effect.pictures on display through The Arran Art Gallery feature classic Isle of Arran panoramas. Most of the pictures include an interpretation panel showing mountain names and heights.
The pictures are available in a variety of sizes, and can be purchased either framed or print only (or print and interpretation panel) in a tube. The prints are produced by the Giclée printing process, using lightfast inks on acid-free art paper. As with all quality prints they should be framed behind glass, and protected from direct sunlight and extremes of temperature and humidity.
Other Series by Andy Gray Digital include work for clients as diverse as Historic Scotland, The Scottish Rugby Union, The Royal Yacht Britannia and The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Andy has also provided view interpretation panels, guide books and picture series that were commissioned by CairnGorm Mountain near Aviemore, and Nevis Range at Fort William.
Andy is married with three children, and now lives and has a studio on Arran.
