Artist's statement:

"My work usually begins with chaos. I attack the surface with various materials, which may include collage, paint, pencils, pastel, etc. I then have to re-organise this chaos, through adding and subtracting, relying on my intuition, creating harmony, balance, maybe even something beautiful. It's very satisfying that I can at least make a thing of beauty from what was once chaotic. Subject matter varies but I tend to favour the still life. My work is a portrayal of objects, figures, and nature. Sometimes recognisable, sometimes suggestive, even adding a bit of humour, all hopefully arranged in an aesthetic manner".work is now in many private collections in the UK and abroad.
