ABOUT ARRAN ART GALLERY
Welcome to The Arran Art Gallery. We are based on Shore Road in Whiting Bay on the Isle of Arran, 8 Miles south of the Island’s main port, Brodick. Whiting Bay is one of the three largest villages on Arran’s East Coast.
The Arran Art Gallery was set up by the current owner and resident artist, Nick Giles. After 20 years as an Insurance broker Nick left the family firm in 2003 to fulfil a life long dream to study art and to learn to paint. With the help of fellow artist Tommy Fitchet he converted Whiting Bay’s DIY store into Arran’s largest commercial art gallery. The gallery first opened its doors in the summer of 2005 with its main aim to promote the island’s artists to visiting tourists from the British mainland and to all those people all over the world that have an affinity with the beautiful Island of Arran.
The island offers so much inspiration to artists and this can clearly be seen in the diverse range of art available that is produced on the island and on sale throughout the gallery.
In addition to local artists the gallery exhibits many of Scotland's established contemporary artists but we also pride ourselves in the discovery of exciting new talents, especially those artists living on or linked to the Isle of Arran.
Paintings, limited edition prints, limited edition photographs, sculpture and ceramics feature in the artwork we sell.
At present the gallery boasts three resident artists, Nick Giles, Tommy Fitchet and Vanessa Lawrence who are often available to meet our clients. With a little insight into what motivates the artist, artwork can take on a whole new meaning and we have found that this is something our customers really value.
When people visit our gallery, our aim is to make their visit easy and pleasurable. We have continued this approachability through our website and hope you will find it as easy to use as walking through our front door.

We are open 7 days a week all year round from 10.30am until 5pm.
A good selection of our artwork is also exhibited and available to buy at the Islands largest and premier hotel, The “Auchrannie Spa Resort” in Brodick. The Auchrannie Hotel is open 365 days a year.
At The Arran Art Gallery we hold the largest array of original art to be found on the Isle of Arran and one of the largest stocks of original art in Scotland. At any one time we can stock up to 500 pieces of artwork for sale including original paintings, sculptures, prints, pottery, photographs and glass work. If the pieces you wish to view are not actually on display on our walls our friendly staff will be delighted to display them from our extensive stock.
At present approximately 40 Scottish artists are represented at our gallery & online. This number will grow over the coming months, so please remember to keep visiting our site to see how we are expanding.
