ABOUT ARRAN ART GALLERY
Welcome to The Arran Art Gallery.
Owner and artist, Nick Giles, opened the doors to Arran Art Gallery in June, 2005 in a former D.I.Y. store here in Whiting Bay.
Facing the sea, the gallery has 85 metres of exhibition space with a beautiful sculpture garden to the rear.
The gallery's main aim is to promote the island’s artists to visiting tourists from the British mainland and to all those people all over the world that have an affinity with the beautiful Island of Arran. As a result of the island's thriving tourist industry and the proximity of Prestwick airport, we have built up a large client base throughout the U.K. and beyond.
In addition to local artists, the gallery exhibits many of Scotland's established contemporary artists. We also pride ourselves in the discovery of exciting new talents, especially those artists living on or linked to the Isle of Arran.
At Arran Art Gallery we hold the largest stock of original art to be found on the island and one of the largest in west Scotland. If the pieces you wish to view are not actually exhibited on our walls we will be delighted to display them from our extensive stock. At present approximately 40 Scottish artists are represented at our gallery & online. This number will grow over the coming months, so please remember to keep visiting our site to see how we are expanding.
Quality ceramics,scuptures, photography and glasswork complement the gallery.
We also offer a wide range of limited edition prints which can be ordered over the phone and posted directly to any destination worldwide.
Many of our artists are happy to accept commissions. Please do not hesitate to enquire if you are interested.
Scottish art is being recognised more and more as being outstanding both within and out with the UK. Here, at The Arran Art Gallery we hope we can find the Scottish Contemporary artists whose work will complement your collection or perhaps even start it.
When people visit our gallery, our aim is to make their visit easy and pleasurable. We have continued this approachability through our website and hope you will find it as easy to use as walking through our front door.
